Company History

In the mid 80's Curtis D. Tucker was looking for a little side venture to compliment his growing cartooning business. The perfect fit seemed to be greeting cards. In 1985 Curtis launched Big Nose Greetings using his fun cartoon characters and began selling cards on the side.

The first batch of cards that were printed lasted several years and were only sold to friends and family by way of word-of-mouth. The greeting cards were put on the back burner through the 90's as Curtis concentrated on his cartooning career and his company called The Curtoons Cartoon Company.

Fast forward to 1998 and the popularity of the Internet. With the possibilty of reaching more customers faster, Curtis luanched his online business under the name Shaggy Duck Studios™. The Curtoons Cartoon Company quickly expanded and found a niche creating cartoon logos. All the while Curtis began to think about starting up the greeting card business again.

In 2002, the name, logo, characters and website were created for the ChuckleBerry's™ Paper Card Company and a brand was born. The site was first launched as a way of selling paper greeting cards to a wider retail audience. It wasn't long before ChuckleBerry's™ discovered it could also sell wholesale cards to other businesses and thus began the real growth potential for CB's.
